Karla Nivens, M.A.M.
A proud Texan, Karla Nivens is a pastor, author, worship leader, educator, and spiritual formation coach. Her ministry is rooted in servant leadership, biblical teaching, spiritual formation, and collaboration. Earning her masters from SMU Perkins School of Theology, she brings more than three decades of leadership experience across churches, nonprofit organizations, higher education, worship ministries, and community initiatives. Karla currently resides in Fulshear, Texas where she serves as a board member of Love Ministries, 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization and leads REST Retreats for established and emerging female leaders. As a board member of Love Ministries, Karla mentors children and uses her gifts to write music with them and teach them to write their own. In 2025 her content on YouTube was selected as Best Faith Podcast Nominee by the Christian Filmmakers Network in Dallas, TX.
Karla and Dr. Roosevelt Nivens, Superintendent of Lamar Consolidated ISD have been married for 26 years. They have two adult children - Naomi and Roosevelt III.

Karla Nivens Entertainment is a social enterprise. The Christian media company is dedicated to creating inspiring and innovative content. Through KNE, Karla partnered with Love Ministries, launched a women’s small group, and created the radio show and podcast Every Heart Every Woman, inviting audiences to quiet the noise and restore balance in their daily lives. Under KNE, Karla is the founder and director of the professional organization Every Heart Every Woman, which partners with nonprofits to provide female leaders with space to rest, rejuvenate, and connect with God. The organization equips women to pursue leadership opportunities through mentorship, classes, and conferences. Currently, KNE provides gospel concerts where Karla uses storytelling, her original Gospel music, and spiritual formation to encourage leaders to develop their leadership skills.
